Dr. Amit Desai, MD, is a highly qualified family medicine physician. He earned his B.S. in
Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University, and his M.D. from Drexel
University College of Medicine. Dr. Desai completed his Family Medicine Residency at the
University of Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr.
Desai’s interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient
education. He is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Academy
of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Florida Academy of Family Physicians,
and Florida Medical Association. Dr. Desai is also a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Family
Medicine Clerkship at Florida State University College of Medicine and serves as faculty for the
American Academy on Communication in Healthcare.
